A special JustUs performance sponsored by the Colorado RJ Council, Colorado Coalition for Restorative Justice Practices, and Community Works.

Join Motus Theater for the Colorado Springs premiere of JustUs: Stories from the Frontlines of the Criminal Legal System with Special Musical Guest: The ReMINDers.

Five men from Colorado Springs, Astro Allison, Brandon Wainright, Daniel Guillory, Dereck Bell, and Juaquin Mobley, share powerfully crafted autobiographical monologues about their experiences of the inhumanity and injustice of the criminal legal system. Monologues are woven with musical responses from the seamless, soulful sounds and roots music of The ReMINDers. The Executive Director of the Colorado Department of Corrections, Dean Williams, will be joining the JustUs monologists for a conversation with the audience after the performance.

This performance will be coming to you in person and live-streamed from The Gold Room in downtown Colorado Springs with the goal of mobilizing discussion and inspiring action toward true justice. A perfect event for thoughtful dialogue and reflection on the ongoing civil rights and racial justice challenges of the criminal legal system.

Don’t miss Motus Theater’s next event in Colorado Springs on May 22nd, featuring JustUs monologists co-reading their monologues alongside Colorado political, education, and justice leaders, and legislators.
